The Henley Baptist Church will be hosting the Hope Henley, which is a community festival. Over the weekend, coinciding with the bank holiday, the festival will be hosting a number of free events. On 22 August, Friday, a fun day will be organised for families on the Freemans Meadow, off Fair Mile. From 1.00pm to 4.00pm events include team games and climbing wall. At the d-two centre, Market Place, from 7.30pm to 9.30pm will have night club and Battle of Bands. On Saturday, at d-two centre, they will have car washing and gardening, from 1 to 4pm. Youth music & stories from 7.30 to 9.30pm. On Sunday at Mill & Marsh Meadows there will be church, from 10.30am to 3pm, and later a barbecue. Hope Henley coordinator, Russell Martin hopes to bring communities together for some quality fun and free events. He has appealed to local businesses to contribute to the events.
