Kids Week offers freebies for children
The Kids Week, established in 1998, is offering free tickets for children aged 16 and below. In all, the kids will be offered free tickets for 36 shows, throughout the month of August, 2014. The Kids Week, an annual program, is taking place for the 17th year now. This program encourages young people as well as their families to feel the magical experience of live theatre. All children should be accompanied by an adult who pays the full ticket price, upon which up to two extra tickets for children can be procured at half price. The Kids Week consists of free events and activities also, the list of which can be found in the website www.kidsweek.co.uk.
The Society of London Theatre, also the venue, is conducting this initiative. Apart from the free tickets for children, families will also be allowed to enjoy hotel and travel offers along with free meal deals for kids at specific London restaurants. There is no booking charge, so you can go to the website and book!
New theatre company offers taster training session
The Starbuck Theatre Company will be launching in September and wishes to give training to young people. The company from Droitwich will be offering a free taster session, a workshop in acting and musical theatre, on 28 August, Thursday, from 3.00pm to 4.30pm. It will be held at the Droitwich Spa High School, Worcestershire. Budding stage performers joining the company will get masterclasses from professionals, such as musicians, singers and actors, all through the year. Sarah Pavlov who runs the company welcomes anyone loving musical theatre or acting, to join and grow with them.
