Free events for summer in Bournemouth

August 4th, 2014 by Sandy

Visitors to Bournemouth, the large coastal resort town, will be in for film, music, kids family fun and a host of other free events and festival fun, this summer. On 9th August, Saturday, the Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra will be in concert. Over the month there will be other shows, including Stevie Wonder tribute acts, open-air film nights, the ACM Gospel Choir and a party band playing music. At the Pier Approach, the OnStage will host events, besides the fun opportunities in town. The Friday Family Fiesta runs right up to 22nd August, every Friday.

Enjoy a combination of entertainment, circus shows and workshops, stilt walkers, fireworks at 10pm, art and puppet workshops, jesters, comedy, magicians, party games and much more. Candlelight Nights will be held at the Lower Gardens over 30th July to 20th August, during dusk. Families can join every day from 28th July to 20th August, from 11AM to 5PM. The cabinet member for tourism, leisure and culture, Councillor Lawrence Williams, hopes this year too, large crowds will get to the seafront to enjoy what Bournemouth is famous for, hosting a line-up of free fun events in summer for all to enjoy.
