Free tickets offered by Uttoxeter Racecourse for town folks

July 31st, 2014 by Sandy

Uttoxeter racecourse is offering free race tickets worth £200,000 and more to the 13,000 strong town people of Uttoxeter, towards marking the racing club’s October race day. All ST14 postcode residents will be straight away granted free admission into the racecourse for the community race day to be held on Sunday, the October 5th of 2014. Racecourse bosses have opined that this generous offer is a gesture which has been made for partly thanking the residents of Uttoxeter for their patience and support, over considerable time.

However, the racecourse also wants to give the town people a chance for experiencing some big time racing day atmosphere. David Macdonald, executive director, has mentioned that though they are short on space in the paddock area and the grandstand, they have the centre course free tickets too. The town’s business bosses also have welcomed this offer that could bring punters in thousands right into the centre of town. Uttoxeter town centre’s footfalls will be boosted while also benefiting business greatly.
