A cultural extravaganza has been organized to coincide with the Glasgow Commonwealth games. A crowd of 10,000 and more is expected to attend this vast cultural festival being held at different places in Glasgow itself. Leading Scottish performers and visiting musicians and singers from New Zealand and Australia will also be taking part in these special celebratory events, till such time the games are over.
Both Kelvingrove Bandstand and Glasgow Green are staging free events within the next ten days till the 3rd August 2014 event on Sunday, which alone is ticketed. Around 100 venues are staging 1,000 performances and more, as part of this 2014 festival programme, billed as the biggest culture celebration of Glasgow. These free cultural celebrations, running in tandem with the commonwealth games, are expected to attract revellers in thousands.
