Preston brings back free summer park events

July 29th, 2014 by Sandy

Park It is a free event, created by joint efforts of a group of organisations, which is now back in its 5th year. The successful event is a project that offers a wide array of free events to young people at the various parks in Preston during August. Brought to you by efforts of the Preston City Council, Police & Community Gateway Association and the Lancashire County Council, each week in August (on Fridays) will offer various activities that can divert youngsters away from anti-social behaviour. To be introduced this year from 1 August would be new activities such as, bungee run, bubble football, inflatable slide, inflatable penalty shoot-out, climbing tower, silent disco, face painting, snacks, music, arts and crafts and many more.

Led by the Heritage Church Preston, the event will be launched at Ribbleton Park. Event of 8 August will be held at Dovedale Park. Moor Park will hold the final event on 15 August. All events will be held from 5pm to 8pm. Preston Sports Forum, Fishwick Rangers and Tanterton Community Trust will lead their respective events at Park It.
