Fosse Cricket Club has geared up to conduct free cricket taster sessions at the Chilcompton sports ground, located in Wells Road. The sessions are open for both boys and girls in the age group of 7 to 15 years, between 06:30 pm and 08:00 pm on 4 Friday evenings at a stretch, on July 25, Aug 1, Aug 8 and Aug 15 of 2014. Necessary kits will be provided and prior experience is not needed, as kids just need to turn up at the ground.
As per schedule, ECB qualified coaches will be conducting the training. Fosse Cricket Club, currently with Downside School, is all set to make its move to Chilcompton Sports during 2015, when youth and junior sections will be started by the club. The free cricket taster sessions are a part of the drive to involve the local children towards giving them a taste of the glorious game of cricket while giving an opportunity to pursue the game too!
