South Ribble will be hosting a free micro-chipping event for dogs in the locality. Dog owners in this area will have a good opportunity to do the best for their four-legged friendly pets. The sessions will take place on Wednesday, July 23, at Longton’s Brickcroft visitors centre, on Tuesday, July 29, at Penwortham’s community centre in Kingsfold Drive and also on Wednesday, July 30, at Leyland’s Worden Park in Worden Lane.

The free sessions will be held between 11am and 3pm and all dogs need to have their collars with leads along with handlers who are at least 18 years aged and above. The free chipping sessions are being held by the Dogs Trust and borough council experts of South Ribble. The free chipping session at Penwortham also includes basic health checks such as eyes, ears, teeth, coat as well as verifying the general fitness condition of all the pets.
