Newport holds free sessions in Snorkelling, Underwater hockey & frisbee
Newport is holding free sessions in snorkelling and underwater hockey and frisbee sports. The sessions will be held during Wednesdays between 12:00 Noon and 01:00 pm at Newport’s Active Living Centre located in Bettws Lane. This free event is being held for children in the age group of 8 to 14 years, on July 23, 30 and August 6, 13, 20 of 2014.
Children can learn snorkelling basics and develop their aquatic skills. This will include learning the proper usage of the mask, snorkel and fins. There are also sessions for underwater hockey as well as Frisbee. Pre-booking is required for all participating children along with a FREE swim card. These free sessions will be held underwater at a minimum depth of 50m to increase the confidence of all children in deep water.
