Amateur cyclists will be given the opportunity to compete on Sunday, 22 June, in a time trial at Ealing, this weekend. Pre-registered cyclists can participate in the SportPursuit Street-Velodrome series, which is in the second round and associated to Velocity Ealing event at Haven Green.
The fastest men and women amateur cyclists will be chosen from the first event, from the community, conducted under supervision of staff and instructors, on Saturday, 21 June (9am to 7pm). They (selected cyclists) will then be allowed to join a televised event on Sunday (9am to 5.30pm), alongside serious pro teams, in the afternoon event. Haven Green will be converted into a velodrome. There will be a BMX tricks session, a skateboard park, gliding & riding workshops and bike fix-it, plus food outlets and stalls.
