June 3rd, 2014 by Sandy

The annual Great Yarmouth Festival will be hosting a number of fun-filled, crowd-pulling events in September. The countdown has begun for the quayside event, held at the historic South Quay. It will be held on 6th September (Saturday), between 10am & 6pm, and on 7th September (Sunday), between 10am & 5pm. Except for river and sailing trips, all entertainment and activities are free. Three different venues at South Quay will be hosting shanty and maritime music. Costumed characters and street theatre too will be found along the quay.

A number of sponsors, besides Seajacks UK Ltd, are supporting the festival since 2000. Festival Chairman and Honorary President of GYTA, Aileen Mobbs, appreciated the support of the local businesses. Great Yarmouth’s maritime past and the festival event attracts thousands of visitors over that weekend. The countdown has started for the great festival.
