A school holiday workshop on Samba is being organised for participants from 28th May, Wednesday, up to 31st May, Saturday, and the sessions start at 10:30am and end at 4:30pm. The music project aims to create interest during a school holiday, and in the sessions create a drum and brass band fusion that would be ready to perform at festivals and events, at various places.
The workshop is being organised by Jack Drum Arts Youth Music. A place will cost £20 for the week. A number of places are being offered free to participants who can’t afford the fee. Participants at the workshop have the opportunity to work with musicians like Yilis del Carmen Suriel and Hannagiell Sanders.
