A music event will be staged in the Market Place, at Newbury town centre, on 27 April, a Sunday, which is being organised by the local Newbury Youth Council along with Newbury Town Council, open to all. There is no entry fee, but the group hopes to raise money through donation buckets placed at the venue, to benefit the West-Berkshire Mencap.
The music event will run from 12 noon to 5PM in the evening. Performers at the coming free music event will be- Emma Lawrence (the young Wooden Hill singer), Kate Izzard, Talking Codes, Ian and Mel Sound. The Rock Choir composed of members from Thatcham, Newbury, Didcot, Abingdon and Wallingford choirs will also perform.
