PGL Training will offer free two-week employment skills courses called the Your Call to help jobless young people in Exeter. This can be attended by anybody who is in the age group of 16 to 23 and who is currently without a job, education or training.
Those completing the course satisfactorily will be given a guaranteed placement in Exeter. Also, if there is anyone who completes his training successfully then he would be taken up for a formal traineeship for upto 6 months and would be selected to a paid employment. According to PGL Training director, more than one million youngsters are currently having nothing to do and hence something had to be done to help them out.
Two week course will include CV writing, IT skills, English, Maths and also vocational courses such as health and safety; customer service; plumbing; electrical; warehousing; business administration and environmental studies. There will also be added incentives for top performers. Interested persons can enrol for the training session this month.
