Christmas shoppers to be offered free parking in Blackpool
Shoppers coming to Blackpool will not be charged for parking in the run-up to Christmas. To boost local trade and shopping in Blackpool, the council has offered free parking in its 19 car-parks on Saturday on 7th December which is also part of the Small Business Saturday.
The offer is to encourage people to spend locally and in conjunction with the ‘business improvement district’. The free parking is for car-parks at Tower Street, South King Street, South Car Park, Queen Street, East Topping Street, Cocker Street, Cocker Square, Chapel Street (surface), Central Coach and Car Park, Central, Central Beach, Bolton Street, Bonny Street, Gynn Square, Lytham Road, Lonsdale A, Lonsdale B and West Street . Additionally the multi-story car-park at Talbot Road will be also offered free parking after 5pm for late night shopping, on the 4 Thursdays falling before Christmas Day.
Free tasting event in Brislington
Free tasting event to sample red and wine kits will be held on November 20 between 6pm and 8pm at Love to Brew, on Brislington Hill. People interested in making their own beer or wine at home can come along with their preparation and also taste others make to find out how good home made ones are.
Several varieties of beers such as IPA, chocolate mint schnapps, traditional bitters and winter warmer can be tasted. This free event requires no tickets. Apply online for free entry to Rothesay Castle
Free tickets will be given away to visit Rothesay Castle on St Andrew’s Day this November 30. During the event one can go around the historic place to make use of the offer to the maximum. But one needs to apply online to get free tickets.
One offer is applicable to a maximum of two adults and three persons. Entry is allowed only until 4pm.
