Free YouView box worth 260 pounds for BT customers

Free YouView BoxWith the prices of the basic Essential deals going up to five pounds every month from 2013, BT has plans to provide all the new people subscribing for their fibre optic broadband a free YouView box that is valued at 260 pounds.

The YouView is an Internet linked interface that was started off in the month of July as a stand alone item, but is now provided as a part of the broadband and TV bundled deals by BT and their competitor TalkTalk. This box enables customers to avail of 100 digital channels while at the same time being able to avail of BBC, ITV, and Channels 4 and 5.

BT’s YouView also offers user’s accessibility to BT Vision. BT’s Vision is a comprehensive collection that consists of more than 5,000 programmes and films from the old classics to the most recent box office hits.

Director of Television at BT, Mr. Alex Green stated that it is a great offer and that subscribers would be able to have fun with the high speed fibre broadband from BT with a YouView box and TV Essential bundle for just a monthly sum of £18.

He went on to add that with BT’s YouView, users will not be able to watch television but also be able to access a huge variety of on-demand stuff from BT Vision. He said that the introduction of YouView is an added bit of thrilling news that concerns the plans BT has from the TV.

Those people who were not residing within the BT Infinity coverage range could also avail of the free YouView box by subscribing for the BT TV Essential that range from just four pounds a month.

Developed and created by Humax, the standalone YouView box that is worth 260 pounds can be availed of from retail vendors in the UK like Comet, Tesco, Argos and Currys.
