A new course with the express objective of reconstructing the confidence of cancer survivors is being offered free to cancer patients.
The coming month, cancer survivors can take advantage of a new course the main objective of which is to regenerate their confidence.
This joint venture code named the HOPE, being conducted by the Colchester Hospital University NHS Foundation Trust and Macmillan Cancer Support is created so that it will assist cancer patients to get going with their lives even after they have had their treatment.
HOPE is the acronym of “Help to Overcome Problems Effectively’ and this is the first instance that this scheme is being conducted in Colchester for free.
The Information and Support Manager of Macmillan, Debbie Farthing stated that cancer was the most difficult disease to fight, however people need not have to suffer it in loneliness.
The course offered by HOPE lays importance to the strengths that people have in them and takes a look at how one can benefit from it. The classes would be able play a major role in assisting cancer affected people to discover novel ways to get back their lost confidence.
The session starts with a taster class at Colchester General Hospital on Wednesday the 24th of the next month and it would be conducted between 10.30 in the morning to 1 o’ clock in the afternoon. Following the first session there will be six more weekly classes that will be conducted in the same place at the same time. The sessions would commence from Wednesday the 7th of November.
Only a limited Number of twelve seats would be just available for the free cancer sessions.
