A large number of people had been standing in long winding queues outside the Leicester Aero Club on their open day to avail of the offer of free tester flights. This was an event that is held by the Club every year.
On Sunday, members of the Aero Club at Leicester were providing short above the ground trips to people who had attended the programme that took place at the airport in Leicester, located on Gartree Road, Stoughton. It was stated that over a thousand people had been visitors to the Aero Club in Leicester to attend the open day.
Malcolm Fountain the secretary of the Club stated that the whole event turned out to be a great affair, what with the sun shining down on them and offering excellent visibility.
The Aero Club at Leicester makes it a point to hold this event year on year, more in the form of a tradition, such that it provides the people living in and around its vicinity, an opportunity to avail of a free taster flight. He went on to say that this current year for the first time however the event was opened to a far more number of people.
