Free WiFi LibrariesThe Bath and North East Somerset Council have authorised libraries in Bath Central, Keynsham and Midsomer Norton to be fitted with wireless Internet connectivity, to provide users with free accessibility.

Any person owning a gadget that is capable of availing wireless connections will be in a position to get connected to the “BANES- PUBLIC” network and after they have typed in their name and email ID they can browse the web for free.

Cabinet Member for Neighbourhoods, Councillor David Dixon (Lib-Dem, Oldfield) mentioned that one of the most frequent questions that people who come to utilise the library facilities ask is whether they library has Wi-Fi connectivity. He said that they had been trying very hard to offer this facility and they have been able to provide the service now in three of the biggest libraries that belong to the Bath and North East Somerset Council.

He went on to say that he hoped to urge their regular visitors as well as the new users to make the most of the free Wi-Fi accessibility that they have on offer. People who are not yet library members can join the library by signing up for free either at the physical libraries in Bath and North East Somerset or register via the Internet at www.librarieswest.org.uk.

All people are invited to visit the online site of the libraries and avail of a book or music or movie DVD from the wide ranges that are on offer.
