Electric car owners in the UK to get free charger

People owning electric cars in specific part of the UK are being offered free chargers. This offer is being put forth by POD Point, which will be providing people owning electric and hybrid cars with free charging units in the East and West Midlands, and East Anglia.

POD Point is supposed to be one of the top electric automobile charging firms in the UK.

The charger of the POD Point is the Solo 2, which is the most recent “smart” communicating charging unit that has built-in GPRS know-how and permits a communication that can be transferred in both directions; from the charge point to the account via the Internet, thereby permitting drivers of electrical and plug-in automobiles to be in a position to keep track of the quantity of power that they consume. They can also lock the charge point remotely or for that matter schedule charging times via their laptop, computer or mobile phone.

The charge points of the POD Point will be put in utilising financing from the Plugged-in-Place plan of the government. This offer will be made available to people who own plug-in or electrically run vehicles in Plugged-in Midlands and Source East areas.

The charge point that has been installed completely can be set up either at the owner’s home or place of work and is subject to a site survey free of cost.

In addition all owners of plug-in and electric cars who in the range of the M25 participating in the trial run for Low Carbon London among electric automobiles can put in an application for a home charging appliance totally free of cost. This offer is solely provided via an association between POD Point and UK Power Networks.
