A novel course recognized by the Open College Network is being offered by MACMILLAN Cancer Support to people affected by cancer, their care takers and professionals in the medical field.
A session that offers details about the Cancer Support Course would be conducted on the 7th September at The Pilgrim Centre, Regent Street from 1o’clock in the afternoon to 4o’clock in the evening. The workshop as well as the information session would both be absolutely free.
The duration of the course would eight months at the completion of which the participant would be eligible for a certification that would equal the level 2 of the NVQ. This course is targeted at people who are affected by cancer, voluntary workers, as well as people working in the health and social care field, who are keen on learning about how to help people affected by the disease.
The Cancer support Course offered by Macmillan is headed by people who have been and are suffering from cancer and also health care professionals.
People participating in this course should be people who help cancer patient for duration of at least five hours a month, because they will utilize the course to think back on their experiences with cancer patients and to share their findings.
