Wilton Community CentreWorkshops totally free of cost will be conducted for the residents of Wilton and its neighbouring regions to be of assistance with employment, higher educational options, as well as volunteering. The set of six workshops can be utilized by any person who is over eighteen years of age and who would be interested in achieving new skills. The workshops will be conducted on the 1st of July, and on the 1st, 6th, 8th, 13th, and 15th of August and the venue would be the Wilton Community Centre.

The whole programme is being sponsored by the Southwest Foundation and is being conducted by the Wessex Community Action in partnership with the Wilton Eco Park Development community Association.

The workshops provide independent life planning, details about various courses, placement opportunities and volunteering throughout Wiltshire and aid and counselling with how to be confident, seeking employment, facing interviews, creating CVs and writing out an application.

Wessex Action Community member Debra Biggs stated that it was a thrilling chance. She said that the workshops would be great fun and would have a relaxed atmosphere with specialist advice at hand. These workshops, she said would be particularly useful to people who have just completed their studies or even for those who have recently retired or been shown their way out, to take a decision about what they can do next and how they can achieve their dream.

Anyone interested in learning more about the workshops can call 01722 421747 or send an email to info@wessexcommunityaction.org.uk.
