Carphone Warehouse, a mobile phone retailer in the UK has stated that they have ideas of offering Google’s Nexus 7 tablet on a bound contract without charging any down payment after the tablet has been launched sometime in the middle of July.

Google had declared that it would be releasing its Asus-built Nexus 7 at their 1/0 Conference that was held in San Francisco on Wednesday. They announced that it was the company’s premier own-branded gadget. The Nexus 7 will be run on Android’s 4.1 Jelly Bean, and would be fitted with a 7.1 inch 1280 x 800 touchscreen display. The device is powered by Nvidia quad-core Tegra processor, and has 1 GB RAM, and would probably have 8 or 16 GB of memory too.

The retailer has declared that it would be vending the 16GB version with free SIM as well as free on bound agreement and this implies that users would be able to combine the cost into their existing smartphone package. Carphone Warehouse also stated that they had not received details regarding the cost of the tablet from Google as on then and that the prices would be declared in the next few weeks.

The Chief Commercial Officer of Carphone Warehouse, Mr. Graham Stapleton remarked that the demand for tablets among users had sky rocketed in a matter of just two years ever since the premier series of iPads were launched. He said that the variety of gadgets that could be availed only implies that the consumers’ choice and their power for purchasing are far more robust presently. He mentioned that Google was under the firm belief that there will be more opportunity to expand the market and its Nexus which was reasonably priced would help in ensuring that tablets are more easily available to the people.

The Nexus 7 can also be ordered from Google’s Play store before its launch. The price of the 8GB model would be 159 pounds while the 16 GB edition would cost 199 pounds and once the pre-orders have been placed, the units would be sent to them around the middle of July.
