Free Computer Classes Being Offered by Charitable Institution

Free Computer CoursesThe senior citizens in Cockermouth and Workington are being offered free classes in computers by AGE UK of West Cumbria.

Age UK West Cumbria, a charitable institution is in the process of assisting people over 55 years of age to find novel means of putting aside some money using the Internet and they are hoping that they would be able to attract as many polder citizens as possible to take advantage of the free classes.

Knowledge Management and Information Officer at AGE UK West Cumbria, Mr. James Jackson stated that there are various methods by which people can save money using the Internet and the charity can be of help to the people by teaching them how they can do this confidently and securely. He said that after their first round of classes that turned out to be extremely effective, they are planning to conduct the course once again and the subjects that would be discussed would be things like financial advice, Internet security and online banking, how people can purchase used items online, how they can compare prices and also how they can change utility providers.

The classes that are being held in Cockermouth would commence on the 21st of June at Kirkgate Centre and the duration of the course would be from 1 pm to 3 pm. The course at Workington on the other hand would begin on 29th June and the venue would be St. Michael’s Active Living Centre. The timings would be the same as the classes being held in Cockermouth, i.e. from 1 pm to 3pm.
