Owners of Transformer Prime TF201 will be receiving free GPS dongle from Asus. The company is offering this freebie to the customers in an attempt gratify its angry customers. After launch, the tablet running on Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich (ICS) has experienced some GPS signal glitches. The company agreed that the GPS functionali8ty of the tablet has failed to meet the expectations of the users. Metal chassis of the product is the reason for the lack of signal. Free external GPS extension kit is no being offered to all the customers as compensation.
This dongle will allow the Transformer Prime customers to benefit from better signal receptions. This initiative doesn’t affect any of the existing warranties instead it strengthens its commitment towards the customer services. The free offer lasts till 31 July. To receive this free GPS dongle, the users of Transformer Prime should sign into the Asus member area. The request should be made by entering the serial number of the tablet.
Transformer TF101 owners are experiencing a series of problems which needs to be fixed. The problems cropped up when the tablet was upgraded to ICS. By introducing the Free GPS dongle initiative, Asus hopes to enhance the GPS functionalities of the Transformer Prime TF201.
