Free public parking during Queen’s visit on 2nd May

Free ParkingDuring the Queen’s visit on May 2nd, the SSDC owned car parks in Yeovil and Crewkerne will be offering free parking services to the public. Those who wish to celebrate the Royal visit can benefit from the free parking. At eovil, car parks will include Peter Street, South Street Market, South Street, Park Street, Newton Road, Court Ash, Petters Way, Box Factory, West Hendford, North Lane, Goldenstones, Middle Street, Stars Lane, Earle Street, Brunswick Street, Fairfield, Market Street, Goldcroft, and Huish. You should note that Middle Street is reserved for those who have the blue badge. South Street, Henhayes, Abbey Street, West Street, and Market Square are the Crewkerne free parks. The free parking is made available so that everyone can see the royal party. By making the parking free, SSDC is offering the visitors a fantastic opportunity to park their cars free of cost. However, the car parks operated by others will be for a certain price.

Diamond Jubilee Fayre will be opened by The Queen. It will contain exhibits of wildlife, heritage and industry at Somerset and Yeovil. After the Diamond Jubilee Fayre is opened and toured by Her Majesty The Queen and His Royal Highness The Duke of Edinburgh, they will move to Crewkerne to visit the town hall. Here the members of the area can see the royal party. Exhibits at the town hall include historical items and documents.
