New Electric car centre at Glasgow to offer free electric vehicle charging

A specialist electric car centre will be opened at Glasgow shortly. Located at the centre of the area, this electric car centre gives electric car lovers a chance to test drive and hire electrical vehicles. Opened alongside a permanent renewable energy exhibition run by SSE Scottish Hydro Centre for Renewable Excellence, this centre will prove very useful for electric car owners and motorists who intend to hire vehicles. Charging electric vehicles for free is definitely going to attract a number of customers. By opening this service, the Electric car centre becomes one of a kind centre, said SSE. SSE’s Kevin O’Neill said that the centre said that the electric cars are fun and easy to drive and people living within the electric centre area can hire and test-drive the electric vehicles. Tourists or business travellers can make use of the electric car hire service. By hiring one of the vehicles you can relax and drive to the meeting held in central Scotland and drive back.

Power of Now exhibition will showcase functioning of a hydroelectric dam works, simulation of the electricity network and more interesting things. The new interactive renewable energy public exhibition will educate the city effectively and the all-electric facility will hep reduce carbon emissions in the city, said Gordon Matheson, Glasgow City Council leader.
