International Airlines Group (IAG), IT consolidation of British Airways and Iberia has worked to make £112 million in its operational savings. A significant savings is contributed by the technology infrastructure, the company said. Other factors that add to the savings include effective integration of sales team, shared property, joint engineering services and single management teams in important airports. As part of the changes, the firms said that new technology was being added to improve the efficiency. Introduction of the new free iPhone and Android phone application is definitely one of the effective ways to invest in the area like its cargo business and Avios for mileage rewards.

This free innovative application makes tracking of cargo easy. Customers can easily track and find their air freight documented on airway bills of Iberia and British Airways World Cargo. Apart from that, the app gives the customers complete access to the information on global schedules and networks of both the companies. Immediate tracking information on the shipments is also possible with this free app. Both innovative and useful, this app helps the customers largely. This service is offered for free of cost by the company.

IAG has earned six-fold rise in their pre-tax annual profits, said Willie Walsh chief executive. The performance of the company has increased net cost and revenue synergies.
