Local businesses in Newtownabbey are sure to benefit from the free training program. Supported by Peace III funding, the sessions will help build understanding of diversity in the workplace and society and create an awareness of business diversity. The sessions will be interactive and participative. Along with examining the personal views, the sessions will study the insight of others and how employee behaviour will effect on the organisations, co-workers in a business, legal and moral levels.

Bombardier, Shraeder Electronics, Chesapeake and Canyon have already registered to attend this free program. Deborah McConnell at Business in the Community said that the program will help encourage the positive working relationships between employees and help foster trust among them. It will look into the significance of individual involvement and developing relationship within the company. All these will help strengthen the culture and boost the productivity of the businesses.

The program will also include sessions for mentoring and training the staff and managers. Participants are given an opportunity to meet with other businesses in the same area and share their experience.

Registration will be done on first come, first served basis as the seats are limited. Interested businesses can deborah.mcconnell@bitcni.org.uk or call at 028 9046 0606.
