Royal Caribbean resumes itself from the Costa Concordia tragedy that happened on January 13. To pay respect for those killed at the Costa Concordia tragedy, Royal Caribbean International and sister premium line Celebrity Cruises had withdrawn their marketing. The tow operators now restart their advertising activity in an attempt to attract customers. Thousands of free flights for summer cruises are to be offered by the operators. In addition to the small co-operative marketing activity, Royal Caribbean will take major marketing and advertising strategy. It will offer campaign on print media, television and radio.
The UK general manager of Royal Caribbean Cruises, Jo Rzymowska expresses his condolence and also ensures the customers that such tragedy will not repeat. Beginning from February 1, all the marketing activity will be resumed, he added. The campaign will last till February. They will offer thousands of flights for 2012 summer sailing across the European programme of cruise itineraries of Royal Caribbean. The departure of the flights will be from UK regional airports. Free coach transfers and free car parking are offered by them to ex-UK Southampton sailings.
Celebrity campaign includes free flights for Celebrity campaign. Prices for sailings on Celebrity Eclipse out of Southampton are reduced to £999 from £1,299. Small prizes like branded t-shirt or mug will be offered for agents on each booking. Free European flights are also offered along with a chance to win cruise. Winning agent can enjoy a cruise for two people at the end of the month.
