Sky customers will enjoy Free BBC’s iPlayer catch-up TV services

BBC iPlayerIn few months time, Sky customers will enjoy BBC’s iPlayer catch-up TV services via Sky HD boxes. One can access the catch-up TV service through AnyTime Plus internet TV service that offers on- demand TV shows as well as catch-up content. All Sky customers with broadband internet can enjoy the service. Additionally, the subscribers to the service can enjoy ITV Player service that delivers on-demand shows including Cold Feet, Prime Suspect and Lewis from tomorrow.

ITV Player and BBC iPlayer’s full version will be made available shortly this year. Sky subscribers can have access to Sky Anytime for free. They could enjoy on-demand content such as movies, documentaries, entertainment and drama. In a recent announcement, Sky said that all Sky customers with internet can access the service.

At present, 1.2 million homes can benefit from the service. The new move will include five million more homes in the service. With contents from partner channels like MTV, FX, Discovery, UK TV History, Disney and National Geographic Channel, subscribers can enjoy additional contents apart from Sky’s own channels.

Sky’s Chief Executive, Jeremy Darroch welcomes the news and said that BBC iPlayer and ITV Player will offer best of terrestrial TV to the customers, anytime. By expanding the services, millions of additional homes can benefit from it.
