The move to offer free travel for employees at London Overground comes as good news. London Overground has carried out a discussion with CrossCountry Trains, Arriva Trains Wales and Chiltern Railways for a reciprocal deal that will allow free travel for employees at London Overground. Deutsche Bahn, parent company of London Overground Rail Operations’ is the owner of other organizations. Introduced on 1 January, the travel perk will help employees travel for free. Along with 1,200 employees at London Overground, partners and dependants under 16, could travel for free. This free travel perk will be very useful especially during the 2012 London Olympics.
For this service, London Overground will be offering free travel to 4,200 employees, at Chiltern Railways, Arriva Trains Wales and CrossCountry Trains and partners and dependants under 16.
London Overground Rail Operation’s HR director, Darren Hockaday has welcomed this news.
