Horsham Churches to offer free schools for Southwater

Free SchoolsHorsham Churches and Oasis Community Learning has joined efforts to bring new ‘Free’ school planned in the areas of Southwater. To know more about the free schools, they are conducting meetings during this New Year. A discussion regarding the secondary school plans for local students will be carried out with interested parties and stakeholders. The whole month of January will conduct series of meetings where Southwater Pre-School parents and Southwater Primary parents, Southwater Primary heads and governors will take part in the discussions which will be held on separate days.

At Southwater’s large council chamber a meeting for Pre-School parents and Primary parents of Southwater will take place on January 5 and on January 9 there will be a meeting for Southwater Primary heads and governors. Horsham primary heads and governors will meet on January 10 at Brighton Road Baptist Church in Horsham. Later on January 30th Horsham secondary heads and governors will participate in the discussions.

An application for Christian ethos school with individual chaplaincy for children aged between 11 to 16 years is being prepared by Horsham churches. It will be taking 180 pupils annually. Organization comprising of 32 churches will consult with residents and will call for bids. The potential parents of students are required to submit the bid by February 24.
