Get a chance to learn swimming classes for free

Those who have not yet learnt how to swim can benefit from the free swimming classes.  With these lessons learn your first swimming lessons for free of cost. To apply for the free swimming classes you should book beforehand. This is not a two or three day swimming class, it covers eight-week lessons. Southend Swimming and Diving Centre will host the free swimming classes. This free initiative is a part of the national Big Splash scheme and it aims at encouraging people to learn swimming.

Opened to both men and women, the free swimming lessons will benefit more. There is no restriction on age. At Garon Park, off Eastern Avenue, the swimming lessons are conducted every Tuesday from January 17 till March 6 and the classes will begin from 8pm. The half hour sessions will be held at Garon Park, off Eastern Avenue.

Southend councillor for culture and tourism, Derek Jarvis welcomes everyone, regardless of age, gender or capability to take part in the free swimming lessons that will offer safety, fitness and health to the people. Beginners will be able to learn swimming without paying any money. They are taught in a favourable environment and by qualified swimming trainers and instructors. Begin your next year by learning swimming skills that will prove very useful.
