There has been a free training programme – “Pathways to Enterprise” organized and delivered by Newtown based small business experts – Robert Owen Community Finance along with Powys Association of Voluntary Organisations and PURPLE shoots. Powys residents are being invited to make use of the training programme to make true their business ideas in reality.
The programme is being funded by Arwain (the LEADER programme in Powys) via the Rural Development Plan for Wales under the Welsh Government and European Agricultural Fund for Rural Development.
There will be four sessions taking place and the first training session will be on Wednesday – May 22, 2019 at the Pryce Jones Building, 17, Old Kerry Road, Newtown between 10 am to 2.30 pm. The other sessions will be held on Wednesdays – May 29, 2019 on Business Planning Essentials, June 5 on An introduction to Self-Reliant Groups and June 12 on Fundraising Essentials at the same location at the same timings.
Operations Manager with Robert Owen Community Finance – Jackie Milton said that they are trying to help people who is having an idea of starting a business or a community project but do not possess knowledge on how to do or even those who are thinking of shifting from employment to self-employment to build confidence after work or those want to improve their skills to help the community. Whatever may be the motive of the participants, this programme is the right choice of place to find their ambitions.
