There has been a free event of Q&A session for carers organized on Tuesday – May 14, 2019 at the Cinema Room of Skylark House Care Home, St Mark’s Ln, Horsham RH12 5PU. The event will run from 2.30 pm to 4 pm as a part of National Dying Matters Week.
The event is aimed for carers helping them. The event has been organized by the Hospice in association with Carers Support West Sussex. The carers can various information from the nurses of St Catherine Hospice who are trained experts in end of life care.
The Carers Support Lead from St Catherine’s – Esther Walker said that they are committed to give the residents in their community the best possible care. They not only support patients but also their family, carers etc. Though taking care of their beloved ones is great, but it is really hard to do. Most of the carers require for support for unanswered questions. The nurses of their centre will offer to provide question and answer session which will help them in more confident and they can learn more on caring.
The session will also include advance care planning, Do Not Attempt Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation and the changes expect to see with those approaching death. You can find also the information from the staff of Carers Support West Sussex about their support and service that are available to carers.
