As a part of Girls’ Golf Rocks project, various golf clubs are participating and offering free tasters for girls.
There has been a free taster session organized by Stonelees Golf Centre on Friday – May 10, 2019 at their club at Ebbsfleet Ln, Ramsgate CT12 5DJ. The session will be running between 4.30 pm to 6.30 pm. The centre is one of the 4 clubs in Kent taking part in the national campaign to encourage more girls to take up golf.
Those girls aged from 5 to 18 years can take part in the free taster session offered by the club. They can also take up 6 week course starting next Friday which costs £35 after free taster.
The sessions at the club will be taken by the centre’s PGA head professional – Gary Bason. He said that he is already taking regular classes for girls and that is the reason he think that the England Golf have selected them to run such campaign and he looks forward to encourage all the girls to take up this great chance to know about the game and make some new friends.
England Golf is running the campaign Girls Golf Rocks along with the Golf Foundation and they said that the new comers can come for this taster session and they can meet other beginners to enjoy the game more and play, fun, relax. The activities will be led by the PGA professional coaches and Ambassadors from local clubs of Girls Golf Rocks & the Kent girls’ squad will help them and encourage the participants.
All the equipment will be provided to the participants and the participants should wear comfortable dresses and trainers footwear. The girls then can join the classes after the taster sessions if they wish to go. They will get a golf club and goody pack in playing golf.
