There has been series of free workshops on beginners adult story telling course organized by Cheshire West and Chester Libraries and Read Now Write at various locations in this May month running for 8 weeks.
Winsford Library at 2AS, High St, Winsford, starting from May 16, 2019 held between 10 am to 11.30 am for 8 weeks.
Storyhouse Library at Hunter St, Chester CH1 2AR starting from May 16, 2019 held between 12.30 pm to 2 pm for 8 weeks.
Ellesmere
Port Library at Civic Way, Ellesmere Port CH65 0BG starting from May
17, 2019 held between 10 am to 11.30 am for 8 weeks.
The council has secured funding from Arts Council England for these workshops. These courses will be led by storyteller and author Charles Lea and he is the principal of Read Now Write – a literacy project company. The sessions will focus on inspiration, how to write, various techniques, writing style and how to perform a story in front of an audience.
The course is designed for budding adult writers of any ability though they are aiming to work with older and isolated adults. The places will be allotted on first come first served basis. After the course, the participants will be given a chance to perform in a storytelling performance at the Garret Theatre, Storyhouse Chester on 13th July.

Mr Lea said that they focus to help the participants to develop skills to think and write a short story and story telling performance before audience group of friends and family. The participants will feel more pride about taking part in this project.
