Free entry to an exhibition on photographs at Brixton

There has been a free exhibition on photographs of archive Brixton scenes held from Friday – May 3 to Saturday – June 29, 2019 at Photofusion, International House, Brixton, London, SW9 7QE. The opening time of the exhibition is between 10.30 am to 5.30 pm from Monday to Saturday and Sunday is closed.

The exhibition will depict the work of Magnum Photographer Chris Steele-Perkins. This highlights the photography treasure here at the exhibition where you can find the photographs taken between 1973 to 1995, as the photographer lived in Brixton and took a personal exploration of the neighbourhood. The wonderful exhibition shows the the lives of Brixton people, cultural and social events.

Chris Steele-Perkins, who born in Burma basically, has travelled around the world and taken photographs of various places and people. He came to UK when he was 2 years with his father and moved to London after completing his graduation from Newcastle University, then started working as a freelance photographer.

There will be various events running at the exhibition to celebrate Brixton by photography for the visitors. The events include various talks, workshop and curator’s tour. The curator’s tour is free to attend and running on Saturday May 11 and June 1 between 12 pm to 1 pm. You can have a tour with curator and LANG Director Laura Noble.
