There has been a free event organized on Wednesday – May 8, 2019 at Marriott Worsley Park, Walkden Road, Worsley, Manchester M28 2QT. The event will take place from 12.30 pm to 2 pm.
The event has been sponsored by Bolton based Hilton Smythe Finance and organised with the support of Pete Wild & GC Business Finance. They invite business leaders to make use of the event where the Small Business Commissioner of the government – Paul Upper will be available in the panel of discussion and clarifying queries. The commissioner will explain on how they are addressing the issues with respect to late payment which costing £2.5bn per year for small enterprises.
The office of the Small Business Commissioner was started in December 2017 to make sure fair payment practices for small businesses, solving payment disputes with large companies and bringing a change in the payment practices. As per the research conducted by Small Business Commissioner along with Lloyds Bank Commercial Banking, it revealed that around 39% small businesses in North West of England take average 39 days to make payment to the small firms, which is 2 days more than national average of 37 days and the commissioner recommended 30 days.
The Commissioner will advise small businesses in North West on tackling late payment practices, measures introduced and the free services they offer to supports small firms in resolving outstanding payments dispute. He will also discuss about the outlook of small businesses in the UK and economic prospects.
