The swimming pool at Mercer Hall Leisure Centre will be reopened this Saturday after repair works. To mark the celebrations, the leisure centre will be holding a free open day and free taster sessions on Saturday – April 27, 2019 located at Queen Street, Great Harwood, Blackburn BB6 7AL.
The pool was under repairs due to leakage and failure of one of their main pumps and closed during October 2018. The swimmers were using Hyndburn Leisure Centre. They centre has fixed all the leaks in the pool areas and removed asbestos.
Hence the centre wants to celebrate such grand reopening of their pool by holding an open day on this Saturday from 10 am to 2 pm. The day will have tours of the whole leisure centre, free taster on the Ladies Only Feelgood Suite, fitness classes, Cardio vascular room and talks on the swimming lessons by the Learn to Swim Team.
Chief Executive of Hyndburn Leisure – Lyndsey Sims said that they are inviting the local residents of Great Harwood to come along to the centre to support them. Their centre is a hidden gem. The centre is a state of the art of gym, thermal suite, ladies only feelgood suite, studio for fitness classes and swimming pool. Anyone who had not been to the centre and want to see the renovation, just turn up to the centre on this Saturday.
