There has been a free event “Train to Teach” organized on Saturday – April 27, 2019 at St Mary’s University, Strawberry Hill Campus, Waldegrave Road, Strawberry Hill, Twickenham TW1 4SX.
The free drop in event has been organized by Get Into Teaching of the Department for Education and the event helps the participants to get information about teaching career. It helps to more information on how to get into teaching line and how to apply for training in London. The participants can also get an opportunity to talk to the teacher training providers in London and south East beyond their institution which helps for the participants to find out best institute for such training.
St Mary’s Institute of Education was given award for Outstanding for primary and secondary provisions in 2011 and retained its Outstanding rating.
The event will allow the participants at any time between 11 am to 3 pm atleast for 2 hours to take part in
To attend a presentation first on various teacher training options which will be taking place at 11.30am, 12.30pm and 1.30pm – to get advice on training options by speaking to teaching experts and please check your eligibility for such training, to get personalised advice on UCAS application (bring a copy of your personal statement), to get a chance to meet and talk with practicing teachers on practical things and to get a chance to interact with schools and universities who are providing teacher training about the courses available and other information.
