There are many free events happening around London and you can enjoy them with for free to celebrate this Christmas eve.
Borough Market:
There has been a free entry to the Borough Market on Wednesday – December 12, 2018 at 6.30 pm at Borough Market, 8 Southwark St, London SE1 1TL. The market is offering late night shopping chance “an evening of cheese”. Come over to the market and meet the experts from the Cheese stalls who offer tricks and tips. Chef Paula McIntyre will be offering festive based cheese cooking demos.
Free screening of A Breath of Water:
A Breath Of Water (L’ora d’acqua) is a feature film about a the life of a professional diver working on oil platforms in the middle of the sea. There is a free screening of movie on December 12, 2018 (in Italian with English subtitles) at Bloomsbury Theatre and Studio, 15 Gordon Street, London WC1H 0AH. The theatre will be open at 6.30 pm and the movie will be screened at 7 pm and there is a Q&A session with the Director Claudia Cipriani. Kinder Transport exhibition:
There has been a free entry to the Jewish Museum’s Kindertransport exhibition on Thursday – December 13, 2018 at Raymond Burton House, 129-131 Albert Street, London NW1 7NB between 3 pm to 3.30 pm along with a talk by Dr Kathrin Pieren who is a curator and sharing about the great stories behind the objects that are displayed on the day. String Quartet concert:
There has been a String Quartet concert hosted by London’s Musical Museum. The concert features the performances of Haydn, Shostakovich & Dvořák. The concert will take place on Friday – December 14, 2018 at The Musical Museum, 399 High Street, Brentford, TW8 0DU at 7.30 pm and free admission to the concert.
Waterloo Vintage Cars display:
There will be a monthly Vintage Vehicles meet up on Saturday – December 15, 2018 at 1 pm at Lower Marsh Market, Lower Marsh Street just behind Waterloo Station. You can get free entry to see the classic cars and vans parked up there.
Panto Horse Race Day:
There is a free entry to the Pre Race Ceremony of the London Pantomime Horse Race which will be held on Sunday – December 16, 2018 between 11 am to 1 pm at King William Walk (Greenwich). At this free public event, you can find 30 teams dressing up like pantomime horses and will do racing around Greenwich. This year’s theme is TV and film so you can find Mary Poppins, Harry Potter and many more. There will also be Live music and other entertainment happening on the day.
