The National Centre for Craft & Design is one of the largest venues in England which has 5 gallery spaces under one roof providing for exhibition, celebration and promotion of contemporary craft and design. There will be many free events happening at the centre located at Navigation Wharf, Carre Street, Sleaford, Lincolnshire, NG34 7TW.
Decorations Workshop
There will be a decoration workshop held on Saturday – December 8, 2018 between 10 am to 4 pm. Those interested in participating requested to consider giving donation.
The participants can meet Design Nation artist Laura Mabbutt who will help on the workshop on how to design and create a wet-felted beads and Christmas baubles that you can take along with you to home or can gift it. The workshop is suitable for all abilities and just drop in for the session.
Contemporary Christmas Craft Market
There will be an annual Contemporary Christmas Craft Market – “Gifted” taking place on Saturday December 8 & Sunday December 9, 2018 and the entry is free. The market will run between 10 am to 4 pm.
The market will have 20 selected designer-makers, Food gift stalls & street food vendors, Live music, Falconry, Artist demonstrations, Craft workshops, Special festive menu at their Cafe. The NCCD shop will be selling handmade gifts and home-ware products. There will also be 2 exhibitions, one bringing finest glass artist and other one a showcase by a project of the local community group inspired by churches along the Spires & Steeples Arts & Heritage trail.
Paper Tree Decorations & Bookmarks
There will be a free workshop on Paper Tree decorations and bookmarks held on Sunday December 9, 2018 between 10 am to 4 pm. All are welcome and those participating requested to consider making donation.
The participants can join Artist Phiona Richards and he will help to make paper tree decorations and festive bookmarks that can be taken along with you to home. This is as a part of Gifted market.
