Christmas events have already been on going in Leicester city since last month and the city council has opened up various festive events in the city. So the residents and the visitors of the city can enjoy well with many free events at the city.
Last month had many events of Christmas lights switch-on, the Wheel of light, Christmas canteen, adventures of Alice in Wonderland, funfair. In the month of Christmas, there are many events happening – Ice rink, Santa in the Square, Christmas in the Garden, Art at Christmas market, The Jagerhaus and Christmas shows. The following are the free events to enjoy.
Santa in the Square
Without Santa, there is no Christmas. So everyone can get a chance to meet Santa who will be available in a snow covered grotto at New Market Square, Market Place, Leicester LE1 5HB and there is a small gift for all the children. There is free entry to the place and you can visit from Saturday – December 8 to Sunday – December 23, 2018. From Monday to Friday you can visit between 1 pm to 6 pm, on Saturday from 10 am to 6 pm and on Sunday from 11 am to 4 pm.
Christmas in the Gardens
The beautiful Catherdral Gardens will be fully decorated with lights to bring a illuminated festive atmosphere which is located at 1 St Martins East, Leicester LE1 5DB, UK and there is free admission to the gardens. Come along to enjoy the festive from Thursday – December 13 to Saturday – December 22, 2018 between 5 pm to 10 pm. The event is organised by by BID Leicester and St Martins House.
Art at Christmas market
There is a free entry to an Art Christmas Market which has been organised on Sunday – December 16, 2018 running between 11 am to 4 pm at Leicester Market, Market Place, Leicester LE1 5HB. You can find nice gifts created by the local artists on this special occasion to gift your loved ones.
The Jägerhaus
There has been a German themed outside bar, to enjoy the food and drink on this special eve, running already until Monday – December 24, 2018 between 10 am to 9 pm at St Peter’s Square, Highcross and entry is FREE.
