Free information event for carers at Headway East Sussex

Newick based Headway East Sussex has organised for a free information event in the morning hours for carers on Monday – November 26, 2018 at Headway House, Jackies Lane, Newick, East Sussex, BN8 4QX. The event will run from 10.30 am to 12.30 pm.

The event is being run as a part of supporting Carers Rights Day, which will be celebrated annually, on 30th November by Carers UK and their aim is to bring all the organisations in the country to support the carers in their community to know about their rights and help them in knowing help available to them. Headway East Sussex is offering rehabilitation & support services for people suffering from brain injuries.

The participants will be provided with the information on Universal Credit, ESA and PIP information by Teresa Andrews from Hastings Advice and Representation Centre and she is a welfare benefits trainer. The carers can speak with her and raise all their queries to get clarified. There will also be available the representatives of Care for the Carers and the participants can come to know about their organisation and services.

Counselling & Carers Services Manager – Trudy Mayes said that the event will offer all the carers an opportunity to take part in it and know more about important information from experts. She is looking forward to welcome all. A representative from Care for the Carers will be present on the day.

All the carers are invited to the information event. There will be refreshments available on the day.
