There has been a free expedition event organised by The Climbers Shop on Saturday – November 10 & Sunday – November 11, 2018 at Stony Stratford Shop, 27-31 High Street, Stony Stratford, Milton Keynes MK11 1AA.
The climbers, adventure travelers and technical experts will be available at the shop during the weekend to help the visitors who want to know about the adventure trips. There will be available on display of an Everest graphic and Mountain Equipment with expedition equipment during the weekend.
A global customer travel map will have been installed in the book room Rab and you can mark your next adventure for which you may get a chance to win prize. Those who are desirous of going on trip but does not have any idea on new destinations, here they can meet the team of their staffs and representatives to help them with great tips on travel destinations.
Free workshops on expedition planning will be led by Adrian Nelhams – Technical Director of British Mountain Guide and also have a consultation with Doctors and Dr Hannah Kittson – mountain medicine specialist. You can raise your questions on future of precious mountains and crags to Inigo Jones from the British Mountaineering Council as part of the Mend Our Mountains campaign.
A spokesman said that The Climbers Shop is a popular expedition clothing specialists in the UK and they will have the entire range of clothing available anytime.
Scarpa will also be available on the days to help in finding out correct boot fittings having full size range suitable for high altitude footwear to try out. You can also meet the representatives of UK’s top expedition equipment brands, Rab and Mountain Equipment who will be available during the weekend.
Nick Bullock from HM Prison Service will be offering tales of epic climbs and mountains on Saturday evening. His famous book ‘Tides’ will be available at the shop for purchase and he is raising money for the BMC Access and Conservation Trust.
Those purchasing during the weekend can get a chance to win free entry to a draw and win a winter skills day with a fully qualified instructor – Rab.
