Free event of novel writing on National Novel Writing Month

November 1st, 2018 by Sandy

Are you ready to write a novel in a month? Whether you are a budding writer or experienced authors, you can take part in the NaNoWriMo sessions at Thanet.

National Novel Writing Month, earlier known as the Office of Letters and Light, is a nonprofit and encourages creativity in writing. It believes the importance of your story and offers structure & motivation to help people to find their identity in achieving their goals.

There will be a free weekly Write-ins in entire November, hosted by the Fiction Editor & Author of Thanet Writers, Alice Olivia Scarlett. The session will run on every Friday morning from 9.30 am to 12 pm as a part of NaNoWriMo.

November is being marked as National Novel Writing Month and the writers have been trying to write 50000 words novel in a month since 1999. Previous years there were many authors from Thanet taken part.

The event invites all levels from budding to experienced giving a chance to write a novel with support and advice. Alice wants to bring all the participants in one place and giving some writing goodies to them. She is the fiction editor of Thanet Writers which is a non profit publisher in Thanet. She got great experience in fiction published & a freelance editor.

Alice at the Margate Bookie literary festival earlier this year said that NaNoWriMo has been a fun based & rewarding experience. She is really excited in hosting such write-ins and hoping that more local writers will be encouraged at this November to create new things. Alice will be available on the days to provide support, ideas, advice and motivation to the participants.

The events are free to participate and will be held on November 2nd, 9th, 16th, 23rd & 30th between 9.30 am to 12 pm at Cliffs, 172 Northdown Road, Margate, Kent CT9 2QN.
