Free Halloween-themed event at Ammanford Town Council

Halloween is also called All Hallows Eve, an annual observance which will take place on October 31. Many Halloween themed celebrations will be happened on or around this date where people dress up like ghosts, skeletons and scary figures. Pumpkins, spiders and bats are the symbols of Halloween.

The annual observance has started with pagan festivals held at the end of October in Wales, England, Scotland and Ireland. There is a belief by the people that during this period, the dead people’s spirits may come down alive and walk along. Hence people are dressing like ghosts and the like to avoid harming by the spirits. Some others will watch horror movies and kids go for trick-or-treating where they dress up Halloween themed and visit others’ homes and get for a treat.

Ammanford Town Council is getting ready for its annual Halloween celebrations and you can find some unexpected events which will be happening on Wednesday, October 31, 2018. The council is going to host a fantastic events to welcome Draculas/ Witches of the council. The event will run from 5 pm to 7 pm at Quay Street, Ammanford/ Stryd y Cei, Rhydamman.

There will be annual Zombie Walk starting where you can find the ghosts and ghouls will begin their proceedings at 5 pm outside Argos from Quay Street moving towards Ammanford Park. The residents are invited and encouraged to dress up in horrible and fearful costumes to join the walk.

The park will be changed into spooky woods on the occasion and free goodies will be offered by the council. Everyone can enjoy a zombie disco where the ghosts and skeletons will entertain with their dancing. The council has organised for various stalls where you can taste toffee apples, sweets and many more. Ammanford Cricket Club are expected to be transformed into a spooky building.

Councillor Emma Evans said that they look forward to see everyone to be present at the Halloween event. Dress up scary and win the prizes for best costumes and dances.
