The event has been organised in association with Robert Gordon University and the Oil & Gas Innovation Centre.

The communication in the construction, Oil & Gas industries has been revolutionised due to the emergence of bigger, virtual & mixed reality from design to different ways of construction and managing the built properties. The usage of such technologies has been rapidly increasing which is the key tool for the industries.

The power of the methods of visualisation and its opportunities have been started getting great recognition such as at design stage, site management, health/ safety training, project collaboration and stakeholder communications etc. The industries will explore the application of such technologies and its future developments using the technology in all the areas.

At this event, it will be discussed on the current status of visualisation technology in both industries. The event will explain about an overview of how these two industrial sectors are collecting and using the data by changing over from simple images to fantastic 3D models to improve the productivity.

The event will have a chance to hear a talk from Ops Director, Infrastructure Scotland, Morrison Construction – Stephen Slessor, a talk by Multivista’s Paul McLaughlin about the industry, technology demonstration at Exhibition hall and Exhibitions of event partners. You can find there various interactive stands which will explain about the latest developments in visualisation technology by the companies in the UK (including a bigger reality app and iHawk software). The participants will get a chance to discuss on various topics of business opportunities, future collaborations, employment opportunities etc.

Head of Strategic & Commercial Operations at CSIC – Ben Westland said that generally a new technology will take some time for the companies to realise its benefits and no doubt, visualisation technology in construction industry helps to reduce costs and time in the projects undertaken. The free event will help the participants to explore the latest technological developments, its future prospects and benefits.
